Professional, Operations Program Manager
Status: Full-time, Exempt
The Operations Program Manager will accomplish strategic objectives by leading multiple projects and initiatives. Responsibility for projects includes the direction, coordination, implementation, execution, controls and completion of project, while remaining aligned with strategy, commitments and goals of the organization. The Operations Program Manager has oversight of the purpose and status of the projects across Operations at MVP and can use this oversight to support project-level activities to ensure the project goals are achieved. Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity and quality standards; resolving problems; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change. Represents Operations on many corporate level projects and will identify cross-project dependencies to proactively mitigate as necessary. Responsible for leading and/or representing Operations on corporate and non-corporate projects. The Operations Program Manager manages external vendor relations within Operations Department and performs as a functional bridge amongst external vendors as well as internal stakeholders. Responsible for the gathering and articulation of business requirements as it relates to the Operations department. Evaluates all business processes and assists in developing and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency. Manages relationships with internal MVP customers to ensure a high quality of service, resolving issues promptly and ensuring customer satisfaction. Works closely with management to develop objective performance measurements to ensure consistent, high-quality evaluation and goal setting for all employees. Maintain detailed documentation as it relates to projects and departmental initiatives. Assists in forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions. Performs other duties as assigned.
4 year college diploma, preferably in the field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Business Management or Information Systems or three or more years of related work experience.
Minimum five years’ professional experience in a health-related environment or in formal Project Management role. Strong project management and business analysis background preferred. PMP certification preferred. Experience working within Agile Scrum methodology beneficial.
