Summary:


This position works as part of an integrated team designed to provide cross-functional communication and marketing expertise to the business with a focus on Internal and Corporate constituents.  Overall team objectives include, but are not limited to: identifying, developing and utilizing the most appropriate communication vehicle(s) to reach the targeted audience; create, plan, and provide communication solutions to strategically grow and enhance internal and corporate communications.


Individual job responsibilities include: develop marketing and communication strategies and messaging; manage ongoing planning of communication needs; implement communication tasks using different mediums; manage the flow of work to ensure it is completed on time and within budget; optimize communication efforts through interactions with the stakeholders throughout the organization, as well as employees; and provide analysis and reporting as required.  Perform other duties as assigned.


POSITION QUALIFICATIONS


 


Minimum Education:


BA/BS in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related-field. 


Equivalent amount of education and directly related experience may be considered.


 


Minimum Experience:


3 – 5 years’ experience in Corporate Communications and/or Marketing.     

Experience in Internal Communications strongly preferred.


Relevant experience in health insurance or the health care industry preferred.


 


Required Skills:   


  • Proficiency in MS Office software: Word/Outlook/PowerPoint/Excel
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills written, verbal, and interpersonal
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution skills
  • Ability to be consultative and build consensus on initiatives
  • Strong project management skills
  • Proven ability to keep projects on schedule and on budget
  • Demonstrated ability to create copy, review, and edit for print media materials
  • Demonstrated ability to create, edit and manage presentation development
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently
  • Able to occasionally work irregular hours and be available for occasional travel
  • Experience with SharePoint, Constant Contact or other email engagement solution, podcasting, photography, and video production desired
