Associate, Enrollment & Retention Specialist
  

 

Summary:

The Enrollment and Retention Call Center Representative must provide fair and impartial information to individual Marketplace customers regarding coverage options available through the Exchanges. They help facilitate renewal and enrollment in Qualified Health Plans (QHPs), insurance affordability programs, Medicaid, the Essential Plan, and Child Health Plus as permitted under federal and state guidance. Majority of contact is via telephone, with some written correspondence/email as needed. Must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deal with the challenges inherent with a call center atmosphere while delivering excellent customer service on each call. Local travel may be required on occasion. Subjected to a flexible schedule, including occasional overtime, a minimum of two evenings per week as well as hours on two weekend days per month. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

 

Minimum Education:

Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience

 

Minimum Experience:

2 - 4 years in a customer service or sales environment with some experience in health care (hospital, medical office, health insurance) industry

Experience working for a health insurance company

Broad based knowledge of a variety of insurance plans (government and commercial plans

 

Required Skills:

• Excellent communication skills. Must have the ability to communicate with a diverse clientele in a compassionate, fair and accurate manner

• Must be self-directed, confident and able to flex communication and presentation skills to the needs of the customer they are serving

• Must obtain NYS Market Place Facilitated Enroller certification also known as Certified Application Counselor (CAC) within 90 days from date of hire

• A high level of personal integrity and the ability to represent the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times, both internally and externally

• Demonstrated PC skills using Microsoft applications such as Word

 

Preferred Skills:

• Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
