Status: Part-time, Exempt: No


Part-time opportunities available, working only weekends, every Saturday and Sunday.  Number of hours are flexible.  Weekend hours are able to be worked remotely once on-site training is complete.


Responsible for electronic filing and distribution within the document retention system of all documentation received within the Clinical Operations Support Intake Unit. Retrieves medical documentation from files when necessary and prepares it for processing. Responsible for retrieving, sorting, and distributing mail to various individuals within the Medical Management business units. Data entry of various urgent service requests into medical management system. Alerts clinical review staff of urgent service requests requiring review. Scans mail into the email system. Imports mail into the document retention system. Addresses inbound and outbound calls as required. Performs additional clerical and data input as assigned by the Leader, Intake.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Familiarity with medical terminology including ICD, CPT, HCPC and Revenue code sets

Minimum Experience:  
One to two years clerical experience in a high functioning office setting
One to two years medical experience with direct interaction with healthcare providers in a clinical setting

Required Skills:
• Availability to work every Saturday and Sunday
• Availability to work in a secure and private remote location
• Beginner Microsoft Outlook and Word
• Intermediate computer/keyboarding skills
• Ability to efficiently do repetitive work
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple assignments
• Must be well organized with exceptional time management skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to use discretion in handling confidential information and knowledge of HIPAA laws
