Are you ready to build productive relationships and further develop your underwriting skills? We’re looking for an experienced underwriting professional to join our established company. *1.  3 - 5 years of Commercial property and casualty underwriting 

       experience is required

*2.  Possess a positive, professional, cooperative, and quality conscious service

       attitude that upholds Central's core values of integrity, relationships, and


*3.  Ability to maintain a mature, problem-solving attitude while dealing with

       inter-personal conflict or time demands

*4.  Ability to influence or persuade others through oral or written presentation in

       positive or negative circumstances with above average grammatical skills

*5.  Ability to analyze available information and make effective decisions

*6.  Basic math skills

*7.  Available for occasional overnight travel (3-4 weeks overnight travel per year)

*8.  Personal computer skills and the ability to learn Commercial Lines Systems 

       on a timely basis

*9.  Commitment to successful involvement with continuing education

*10. Ability to master a broad range of underwriting skills in preparation of

        advanced position in Underwriting and/or Marketing position 

  11. Bachelors degree preferred




*1.  Effectively underwrite commercial business within assigned territory

*2.  Manage the workload and meet service standards

*3.  Contribute to and support the agency development objectives

*4.  Maintain positive relations with agents, insureds and company personnel

*5.  Assist in the training of new employees

*6.  Order Loss Control Surveys and accompany Loss Control consultants on visits

       when appropriate

*7.  Complete assigned projects
