STAY AND PLAY ATTENDANT
OUTER BANKS FAMILY YMCA
Imagine going to work knowing that what you do each day positively influences the lives of children in your community. Working at the YMCA you’ll discover more than a job – you will have the opportunity to make a lasting difference in the community.
Our mission and core values are brought to life by our culture. In the Y, we strive to live our cause of strengthening communities with purpose and intentionality every day. We are welcoming: we are open to all. We are a place where you can belong and become. We are genuine: we value you and embrace your individuality. We are hopeful: we believe in you and your potential to become a catalyst in the world. We are nurturing: we support you in your journey to develop your full potential. We are determined: above all else, we are on a relentless quest to make our community stronger beginning with you.
Stay & Play presents an opportunity for early child development while meeting the needs of parents and family members who participate in Y programs and activities. While keeping children safe in a nurturing, caring environment, Stay & Play provides young children additional opportunities for holistic development, social experiences, and learning through play. Stay & Play elevates traditional drop-in child care to include key YMCA program elements, including healthy eating, fun physical activity, positive relationships and enriching activities. As with all child/youth programs in the Y, Stay & Play supports health and well-being, character development, and excitement about learning.
