The System Administrator I supports the Infrastructure group in servicing and troubleshooting the Microsoft Office 365 environment and Microsoft core services. Provides escalation coverage for the Help Desk, participate in the on-call rotation, after hours and weekend support and travels to remote locations as assigned.



• Administers and supports the Microsoft Office 365 environment (email, teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.)

• Administers and supports Microsoft Core Services (active directory, group policy, file and print servers) • Manages Office 365 security and compliance features, including DLP, data governance, email encryption and threat management, utilizing Mimecast and ATP

• Administers and supports Microsoft Intune and Flexera for advanced settings and configurations, as well as system monitoring and testing

• Installs, patches, and upgrades systems

• Oversees daily backups of all systems to ensure recoverability

• Implements and supports remediation of security vulnerabilities within the application software, as well as policies and procedures for all job-related activities

• Addresses second level customer support issues escalated from Help Desk; troubleshoots difficult cases, documents resolutions and shares findings with the IT department

• Collaborates with internal teams and vendors to resolve issues


• Follows internal procedures which include change management, incident management, and problem escalation

• Provides 24X7 on-call support as part of a scheduled rotation with other team members • Performs other duties as assigned



Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Technology related field; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in systems administration

• Minimum two (2) years of Office 365 administration experience

• Minimum two (2) years of experience working with a multifactor authentication tool: OKTA, RSA, etc.

• Experience with a multi-factor authentication system

• Experience with Microsoft Core Services (active directory, group policy, DHCP, DNS, file and print servers)

• Experience with Microsoft Intune and Flexera

• Working technical knowledge of Windows 7/10

• Knowledge of Exchange, Office 365 and Mimecast

• Knowledge of automation/scripting (PowerShell)
