Job Summary

Under the direction of The Centers for Family and Children-Early Learning-Director of Family and Community Engagement. Administratively responsible for all functions of the Heights Suburban Collaborative Program. Responsible for program design, management, implementation and budget. Positioning programs visibility both internally and externally within the community and with stakeholders.

Job Qualifications

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services or a related field; Master Degree in Social Work or related field preferred.

  • 5 years of demonstrated experience managing community based social service programs working with children and families.

  • Current valid driver’s license and an insured vehicle.

  • Experience with at-risk, culturally diverse population preferred

  • No record of child abuse or moral turpitude as determined by background check based on fingerprints.

  • Experience in grant writing and implementation

  • Flexibility in working hours essential.

    Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee achievement of all outcomes and deliverables as mandated in the Community Base Service.

  • Serve as the agency representative to the Council of Neighborhood Leaders and other stakeholders in accordance with the program.

  • Serve as a member of the Early Learning-Director of Family Community Engagement Leadership team.

  • Responsible for direct supervision of management staff and provide support to management staff regarding supervision of program staff, as needed.

  • Train staff and provide resources needed to achieve outcomes effectively and results that positively influence the program.

  • Accountable for all logistical operations and reporting requirements of the program.

  • Remain updated on all laws and regulations and ensure all operations are within the scope of the grant and program. time, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms. It requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Travel and work outside of normal hours may be required for meetings, presentations, trainings and other events.

  • Develop and maintain relationship with monthly collaborative networks and other planning agencies in order to develop and improve support opportunities for families.

  • Evaluate, measure and set objectives which determine courses of action to achieve program goals and results.

  • Oversee and monitor the budgetary parameters of the program.

  • Demonstrations ingenuity in anticipating and meeting unexpected program situations.

  • Collaborate and serve as a resource to Early Learning staff that support parent and family engagement practices aligned with the Head Start Performance Standards.

    This position directly supervises the Family to Family Program Supervisor and provides oversight and guidance to the Family Resource Specialist, Wrap Specialists and Family Support Specialist positions.
