Service Technician Monday - Friday

Location:Tighton Tools and Fasteners - 7820 L Street, Omaha, NE
 

Job Summary:
 

Perform diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on customer power-driven tools/equipment. Direct contact with customers both in-person and on the phone. In addition to referencing manuals, will utilize the computer in conducting diagnosis and solutions via vendor sites or the internet or researching parts in Inventory System. Other duties as assigned such as back-up warehouse or front counter support, etc.
 

Qualifications:

• Position requires 1 year experience as a service technician in a machinery/power equipment/construction type industry, automotive, farm equipment, etc. Or, will consider person with strong mechanical ability and a willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of or strong interest in, methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• A minimum of a High School diploma or GED required, vocational training a plus.
• Must possess good organizational skills, customer service and verbal communication skills
• Ability to adapt to changes in processes and maintain an even temperament and professionalism in busy situations,
• Clean and safe driving record,
• Computer skills required.
• Knowledge of diagnostic software and parts lookup systems preferred.

Other:
 

Regular lifting of 20 – 25 lbs., occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. or more, bending, stooping, on feet all day on hard floor, requires finger dexterity, visual acuity, work shop/warehouse environment, ability to read and understand schematics.
