What you can look forward to accomplishing:


  • Use global visibility to anticipate delays before they happen. (Collaborate with Trade compliance specialist)

  • Communicate transportation milestones to stakeholders from origin to destination

  • Address service interruptions, loss/damages, and address corrections

  • Strive to meet goals and objectives as listed by the Global Director of Distribution and Freight Management

  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Global Director of Distribution and Freight Management that fall into the knowledge and skills required for this position

  • Use OBR meeting minutes to hold all parties responsible for action items

  • General reporting support for transportation metrics

  • Support in creating global alignment through instilling proper transportation decision making for NA

  • Work with all shippers to ensure the proper use of collect accounts

  • Manage core carrier on-time performance, to be able to keep a positive vendor score card with our customers

  • Provide freight quotes for OPM/Sales to fulfill customer inquiries


Skills and experience that you need to bring into the company:


Education


  • 4 year Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in related experience


Experience


  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in a distribution/ logistics environment or equivalent experience


Other Skills


  • Good working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred), MS Office and Outlook

  • Expertise in Excel with macro programming, competency in Word and PowerPoint

  • Ability to demonstrate strong professional interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to maintain attention to details and excellent organizational skills

  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and make decisions within a team based environment

  • Displays ownership and accepts accountability for work completion and quality

  • A goal oriented team player. Flexibility to respond within a changing environment
