We currently have an outstanding opportunity for an Account Manager within the biopharmaceutical industry with a natural affinity in forging strong customer relationships and the ability to influence and sell to all levels of an organization.

What you can look forward to accomplishing:

  • Achieving sales targets for a specified Key Account with agreed levels of performance for revenue, objectives, and pipeline tracking.

  • Manage and grow an existing sales base within the assigned account and develop new contacts and opportunities.

  • Provide initial technical & sales support for new and existing customer inquiries, and as required, engage a range of specialized in-house technical experts as needed to support these discussions.

  • Meet with customers, make professional presentations, initiate the preparation of proposals, communicate proposals to customers and negotiate with customers to achieve a successful resolution.

  • Generate and maintain records within a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to track customer contacts, proposal generation, and customer specific information.

  • Working knowledge of biopharma production processes/unit operations with the ability to grow client business through understanding of the client’s objectives.

  • Able to work closely with functional support organizations to effectively achieve goals.

  • Provide regular updates to management reviewing current project and YTD sales.

  • Attend meetings and trade shows inside and outside the US, as required.

Skills and experience that you need to bring into the company:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in life sciences/biochemical engineering or equivalent relevant practical experience that demonstrates a strong technical background  and proven competency to work effectively as a sales representative within the biopharmaceutical industry.

  • A minimum of 2 years’ relevant industry experience within a R&D and/or GMP/GLP environment or business-to-business sales environment

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).

  • Demonstrated ability to develop productive relationships with internal and external customers resulting in favorable outcomes for all parties.

  • Self-motivation, initiative, drive and ability to work independently.

  • Strong identification with our core values of sustainability, openness and enjoyment
