Director, Demand Generation

The Director of Demand Generation will lead to build, scale and optimize the entire marketing funnel from Top to Bottom to create a consistent revenue engine. This leader will bring insights from years of experience testing, measuring, iterating and improving digital strategies at every stage of the customer journey and will lead a successful team to achieve ambitious growth goals and exploit untapped opportunities.
We are looking for an experienced Leader in our Birmingham, AL office.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Build and execute integrated demand generation programs aligned to sales priorities and revenue targets, including but not limited to ABM campaigns, nurturing programs, social media based campaigns, advertising, webinars and partner marketing programs

  • Lead an existing team to deliver against short-term targets while laying the foundation for a long-term strategic plan

  • Optimize program mix by understanding performance across media channels (paid and owned) and tactics (Inbound vs. ABM)

  • Own PPC budget to drive paid media strategy inclusive of SEM, display/retargeting, social advertising, sponsored email, content syndication

  • Develop and manage account-based marketing campaigns across a target account list

  • Accountable for proper tracking, scoring, and reporting of leads

  • Proactively engage with sales teams to coordinate, communicate, and optimize the impact of your marketing activities

    Required Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s in marketing or related discipline; MBA preferred

  • 7+ years of B2B marketing experience

  • 2+ two years managing, leading, or mentoring a team; pharmacy or healthcare experience a plus

  • Deep experience with digital acquisition channels, multi-channel campaigns and marketing automation

  • Experience using Account-Based Marketing to acquire or expand targeted accounts

  • History collaborating directly with sales teams and leaders to establish mutual goals and SLAs

  • Working knowledge of latest marketing software and tools including Google AdWords, Google Analytics, Pardot & Salesforce, WordPress, and Optimizely

  • Extensive knowledge of success metrics, behavioral and demographic targeting, and ROI-driven marketing optimization techniques

  • A tenacious, gritty, scrappy marketer that will stop at nothing to get a lead and is always in search of the next best channel with no fear of failing and trying again

  • Is an expert in Inbound Marketing, Content Marketing, and B2B marketing channels

  • Has been part of a B2B Demand Gen marketing team for a fast-growing company before; highly values the success of the team over personal success; preferably las led and even built a team

  • Exceptional communicator and effective storyteller who can match the message to the medium and get results

  • Naturally operates cross-functionally, and engages both peers and executive audiences in dialogue so everyone can do their best work

  • Analytical and data-driven, proficient with multi-variate testing, B2B attribution models, personalization, and ABM
