Business Systems Analyst (Qlik)

We are adding an Analyst to the growing IT team in our Birmingham, AL headquarters.The Business Systems Analyst’s primary purpose is to implement and support high quality solutions in support of growing business strategies.
This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking professional that is able to conceptualize, analyze, implement, and support the technology that our employees and partners need to succeed.
This position will work closely with IT leadership and business users to plan, implement, and support solutions.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Bring about innovation of product service line through updated understanding of new systems and processes

  • Provide comprehensive consultation to both internal customers and IT management in implementing and supporting systems.

  • Ensure that internal and external systems maintaining high reliability and functionality that is essential to both internal and external customers

  • Research and evaluate alternative solutions and recommend the most efficient and cost effective solutions

  • Act as required to ensure that systems satisfy business requirements, comply with approved department procedures and standards, and meet quality objectives.

  • Where necessary, provide system expertise required to implement new processes, functionality, and business.

  • Where necessary, structure and lead user acceptance and training efforts of systems.

  • Work with external resources and consultants to develop, configure, and implement solutions.

Required Skills / Experience:

  • 2+ years implementing, supporting, and managing business systems preferred.

  • 2+ years with Qlik Sense and/or QlikView or comparable product is preferred.

  • SQL experience is preferred.

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

  • Experience working with 3rd party consultants to implement solutions.

  • Experience identifying integration points within disparate systems.

  • Knowledge of Relational Databases, Data Modeling and Analytics skills preferred.

  • Accustomed to working in a collaborative team environment including both technical and non-technical participants.

  • Must possess strong analytical problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret verbal and written requests and directions.

  • Must have the ability to produce detailed written documentation as necessary.

  • Must possess professional phone etiquette and have the ability to compose emails and other written documentation clearly and concisely.

  • Must be able to present one’s self in a highly cooperative and professional manner with both internal and external customers.
