Registered Nurse-Director, Clinical Education and Program Development
Job Summary: The Director of Program Education and Development is responsible for the development and implementation of strategies to support quality and improvement in clinical operations. This individual will be responsible for objectively evaluating center performance, implementing a comprehensive improvement plan, providing education and evaluating the effectiveness of the intervention. The Director is required to motivate all skill levels of staff with a creative and adult learning approach. He/she will partner with operations and corporate leadership to review progress and effectiveness of program development strategy.
Responsible for the evaluation and assessment of clinical operations, KPI’s and processes in comprehensive wound care programs, Amputation Prevention, and wound care only centers.
Partners with regional and center leadership to develop strategies and action plans to improve quality and best practices. Provides, direction, support and education as required improve performance.
Partners with corporate and field leadership to identify centers requiring support and development, partners with regional leadership (RD, RCD, RDCT) in program development process.
Facilitates regular meetings with Program Directors (focus centers list) to provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure progress is achieved and support is provided as necessary. Provides regular updates on to region/division leadership regarding centers on focus list including progress reports and updates on opportunities identified.
Takes a detailed and analytical approach when working with site level leadership to impact clinical and operational KPIs. Arranges and facilitates appropriate corporate support resources as needed.
Partners with VP, Medical Quality and Performance Improvement to help achieve organizational quality goals
Provides leadership in support of best practices for key programs and corporate initiatives including the firm’s Amputation Prevention Program (APC), Wound Care Specialists Professional Services (WCS), inpatient program development and other programs, special projects as identified. With leadership develops clinical strategy, KPI’s and program guidance based on analysis of data and clinical outcomes.
Partners with Clinical Services & Training department to ensure integrity of clinical competencies across the organization.
- Establishes specific programs to engender staff participation in the identification and recommendation to improve quality, efficiency and effectiveness of operations and customer service.
Serves as clinical expert in facilitating training for new initiatives as necessary.
Support the implementation team with new center openings.
Identify opportunities for process and quality improvement for patient flow.
Provide excellent customer service.
Maintain a positive relationship with the end user base, operations, clinical service and training team colleagues.
Education and Technical Skills:
- Educational: RN, BSN preferred. Must have a current, valid, and unencumbered license, certificate or registration or credentialing as required. Must maintain all state and federal compliance requirements for licensure and employment.
- Experience using data and analytics to impact clinical and operational performance
- MS Excel proficiency, ability to work with multiple data inputs and create an analytical strategy for improvement
- MS Office proficiency, excellent verbal and written communication, and the ability to work well under pressure required.
