Nurse Practitioner- Independent Contractor, Full or Part Time
This position will help support all aspects of patient care within
the organization and the provider’s scope of practice. The NP will provide for medical care to
patients as outlined in his/her collaborative agreement and under the oversight
of his/her supervising physician in the outpatient, inpatient, home or nursing
home setting. Knowledge and advanced
skills with advanced physical assessment and treatment of complex wounds,
management of skin integrity and chronic care management is required.
- Evaluates and sets a treatment plan
for all initial and established wound referrals at assigned care locations.
- Accurately performs history and
physical examinations on adult patients with acute and chronic wounds.
- Assess, diagnose and manage chronic
conditions for patient population.
- Identifies clinical deviations from
normal, initiates and evaluates treatment for patients with commonly occurring
health problems within scope of practice.
- Consults, co-manages or refers as
appropriate with other specialties
- Prescribes medications as delegated
in the protocols and/or procedures.
- Provides individualized patient
teaching and counseling.
- Communicates with Primary Care
Physician (PCP) or office staff regarding any changes in patient’s

Responsible for ensuring current state license
with all Company policies and procedures
Education and Technical Skills:
or Doctoral Degree as a Nurse Practitioner
active state nursing license in good standing
years acute care medical/surgical nursing experience required
years of experience in management of wound, ostomy and continence care
years Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) experience preferred
Certification in any of the following Adult Nurse Practitioner/ANP, Family
Nurse Practitioner/FNP, Geriatric Nurse Practitioner/GNP, or Clinical Nurse
DEA license with prescriptive authority.
Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association
- Strong knowledge base
of HIPAA and OSHA required
- Ability to work
