FEE COLLECTOR/CONCESSIONS, SEASONAL

The Kenosha County Parks Division is accepting applications for Fee Collectors/Concessions Attendants to work at the County’s public beach, located at Silver Lake Park, for the 2019 season –

Memorial Day through Labor Day weekends.

Under the direct supervision of the Beach Manager, Fee Collectors/Concessions Attendants are responsible for collecting park entrance fees. This involves collecting money, giving customers accurate change, balancing cash, and recording money and tickets received.  We are looking for detail-oriented individuals to maintain a safe environment, enforce rules, and consistently act in a manner that earns and merits the respect and confidence of patrons.  This includes, at a minimum, being consistent and polite, treating patrons with courtesy and respect in all matters, and abiding by applicable regulations concerning behavior.

WORK SCHEDULE

• Work schedules are weather permitting. 

• Must work evenings, weekends, and holidays. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collect parking and park entrance fees.

• Assist with vehicle parking operations.

• Assist park patrons with general inquiries.

• Enforce park ordinances.

• Must be at least 16 years of age at time of application.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Requires standing continuously during an eight-hour shift.

• Requires full range of physical movement – bending, reaching, lifting, etc.

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Ability to work outside in any weather conditions, including extreme heat.
