EDUCATION DESIRED: BS or MS in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or related fields, OR equivalent experience.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Join a team in the innovation and development of novel 2.5D and 3D semiconductor integration processes for RF and heterogeneous electronics applications. This position will involve hands-on semiconductor wafer fabrication in a Class 10 cleanroom. Develop or refine fabrication processes. Troubleshoot and resolve process problems. Work closely with senior technical staff to perform experiments, document experimental findings. Collect and analyze experimental data. Work with unit process engineers in order to fabricate wafer lots and execute experiments.
EXPERIENCE DESIRED: We value your 5 or more years experience and skill in hands-on processing of MEMS or semiconductor devices and circuits. Candidates should possess a proven track record of developing solutions to process development problems. Experience with through substrate via (TSV) processing or MEMS processing is desired. General knowledge of wet chemical etching, RIE/ICP etching, CMP, electroplating, PECVD deposition is desired. Familiarity with SEM and or CD-SEM inspection is desired. Familiarity with sputter deposition of films, metal lift-off, patterning, ellipsometry, surface profilometry and electrical characterization tools is beneficial. Knowledge of flip chip thermo-compression bonding is beneficial.
KNOWLEDGE DESIRED: Processes associated with MEMS or semiconductor device and IC fabrication; strong observation and documentation skills; ability to develop and maintain statistical process control (SPC) charts. Knowledge of data plotting using Excel, JMP/Minitab or similar tools. General computer skills with office productivity software such as Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be sufficiently mobile to work within confined spaces and have both visual and hearing acuity. Must be able to work within a class 10 Cleanroom. Must be able to work safely with and around potentially toxic and hazardous materials, chemicals and gases. Good hand eye coordination.
