Development Engineer Sr. - Equipment Support
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Troubleshoot and repair semiconductor and related equipment: Emphasis with Canon Photolithography steppers and SVG coating Tracks is a plus. Understanding Etchers, PECVD, MOCVD, MBE knowledge. Evaporators, sputter systems, and dielectric deposition systems. Knowledge of compressed gases and chemical handling. Vacuum pumps including oil pumps, dry pumps, turbos, and cryo pumps and cryo compressors. Able to interact with co-workers, engineering staff and equipment vendors in a team oriented environment. Good communication skills are essential. Work with vacuum and pressure systems. Work safely around acids, solvents, toxic and potentially hazardous gases. Work in a Class 10 Cleanroom.
EXPERIENCE DESIRED: Minimum 5 years’ experience in direct support of maintaining semiconductor type processing equipment and working in a Cleanroom environment. Experienced on a large cross section of research and fabrication equipment. Familiarity with MBE systems and UHV equipment. Computer skills using Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint desired. KNOWLEDGE DESIRED: Maintenance and repair of semiconductor equipment: Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve complex processing and support equipment.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Working within a Class 10 cleanroom environment, able to work flexible hours, must be able to work safely around toxic & potentially hazardous materials, gases and chemicals. Must be sufficiently mobile to work within confined spaces and have both visual and hearing acuity. Good hand eye coordination. Respirator capable desired. Heavy lifting required.
