Job Description:
The Human Resources Assistant will provides clerical and general support to every function of the HR department including benefits, retirement plans, payroll, recruiting, associate administration, support services and other projects as needed.


Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile and pay all incoming bills.

  • Assist with the scheduling and tracking of the firms Diversity Initiatives.

  • Schedule internal training sessions.

  • Assist with performance review processes.

  • Support the needs of Payroll and Benefits with filing, monthly reports and emails.

  • Assist with benefit statements.

  • Process invoices.

  • Assist with mailings for required health insurance notices.

  • Process termination letters and COBRA letters.

  • Responsible for onboarding and orientation.

  • Conduct Dayforce training to non-exempt and exempt new hires.

  • Complete employment verifications.

  • Participate in compensation surveys.

  • Assists with Human Resources projects as needed.

  • Assist with filing, scanning and copying of documents as needed.

  • Will provide assistance to Chief Human Resources Officer when needed for basic administrative functions and projects.

  • Enhances own professional growth and development through participation in educational programs.

  • Participates in professional organizations and reading of current literature.

  • Understands and complies with all applicable Firm policies, procedures, values and philosophies.

Qualifications:

  • Requires at least 2 years of experience in office administration; human resources experience is preferred.

  • College degree preferred.

  • Proficient in MS Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • Strong proofreading skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong math and analytical skills.

  • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism.

  • Communicates effectively orally and in writing.

  • Must be able to meet deadlines and excel in a team atmosphere.

  • Excellent client service and listening skills.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to multi-task.

  • Ability to work with diverse personalities within various levels of the organization.

  • Exercises sound independent judgment under minimal direct supervision.

  • Ability to manage time efficiently and work independently as well as coordinate with a team.

  • Military experience a plus.
