Harris Beach seeks a junior-level attorney to work on a variety of issues in the labor and employment area. This position will, among other things, perform research, writing and other work relating to all areas of labor and employment law including, but not limited to, traditional labor/union issues, collective bargaining matters, discrimination laws and litigation, wage and hour law and other laws impacting the employment relationship.
Work directly with senior attorneys and clients to provide superb and timely legal work
Initiate, grow and maintain client relationships
Active member of local community
1+ years’ experience in labor and employment law
Must be admitted in New York
Must have excellent research and writing skills
Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing
Must be able to function effectively in a fast-paced, team oriented environment
Demonstrated high level organizational skills for prioritizing workload
Demonstrated ability to absorb, process and understand new information rapidly
Maintains high standards of performance
Exhibits conscientiousness, dedication, self-discipline, and a sense of responsibility
Must have a professional, cooperative, positive and flexible attitude
Ability to work with diverse personalities within various levels of the organization
Military experience a plus
