Gannett/USA TODAY NETWORK is hiring a Senior Marketing Manager to join the Brand and Network Marketing team. This role will be responsible for contributing to and activating the brand strategy across the portfolio. This position will report to the Marketing Director.


Responsibilities:

  • Partner with team leaders to develop, refine and implement brand strategies

  • Bring to life brand positioning and branding principles - identify and lead initiatives to ensure they permeate across our network

  • Leverages research insights, analytics and customer feedback to propose new solutions

  • Lead, plan and manage in-market omnichannel campaigns aimed at building relevance with key growth targets

  • Serve as an expert on digital trends and marketing and transfer that knowledge to our business

  • Serve as our brand sherpa across the network with ability to tell and teach our brand story

  • Establish and foster relationships with key stakeholders in editorial, research, business intelligence, product and marketing to understand how the team can help support company-wide initiatives and campaigns.


Qualifications:

  • Hungry, proactive, “roll sleeves up” workstyle

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 6-8 years of marketing experience

  • Familiarity with brand theory and strategy

  • Demonstrated experience partnering with creative teams to bring to life brand strategies

  • Ability to be hands on, with a comfort in driving both strategy and day-to-day execution

  • Proven experience leading and directly managing complex initiatives across numerous stakeholders – from ideation to launch and optimization

  • Outstanding communication skills and an ability to work with both C-suite stakeholders and internal team members

  • Brand/ Marketing Agency experience is a strong plus

  • Ability to travel between NYC and McLean, Virginia once per quarter
