The Port Huron Times Herald, part of the USA TODAY NETWORK, is seeking an enterprising reporter to cover the breaking news/public safety beat in in Michigan’s Thumb region. This reporter must be highly motivated and able to join a fast-paced team focused on telling compelling stories that resonate with audiences. Some experience is preferred, but entry-level candidates with internship experience will be considered.
This role requires a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the minimum liability insurance required by state law.
The Times Herald serves St. Clair and Sanilac counties in Michigan’s Thumb along the shores of Lake Huron and the St. Clair River. The region is known as the Blue Water Area, home to the Island Loop National Water Trail. Local waterways draw sailors, kayakers and paddle boarders. The area also boasts state and local parks and a growing downtown in Port Huron. The Times Herald is within easy driving distance to metro Detroit.
