Why CHOC Children’s Specialists?  Come join an organization that is defining the future of pediatric medicine in clinical care, research and education.  We are seeking an Advanced Practitioner (NP or PA) for our Cardiology Division’s Electrophysiology Program. With demonstrated expertise in Electrophysiology and/or Pediatric and Congenital Cardiology, the Advanced Practitioner will function as a clinical expert in the management of pediatric and congenital cardiac electrophysiology patients within a family-centered care environment.

Under the direction of the attending electrophysiologists and practicing within developed Standardized Procedures and Process Protocols, the Advanced Practitioner will evaluate, diagnose and treat cardiac electrophysiology patients as well as pre-and post-operative electrophysiology (ablation and device implant) patients.  Central to the role, the Advanced Practitioner will manage the implanted cardiac device clinic (pacemakers and implantable cardiac defibrillators) and the inherited cardiac arrhythmia clinic.  The Advanced Practitioner functions in collaboration and consultation with a multi-disciplinary cardiac team (cardiac ICU, cardiac surgery, and outpatient cardiology services), while also providing education to arrhythmia patients and their families.

The successful candidate will be a licensed and certified Advanced Practitioner (NP or PA) with at least one year of experience in direct pediatric cardiac patient care.  The candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills.  At least one year of clinical pediatric Advanced Practitioner experience is required.
