Senior Sales Manager- Mining, is responsible for managing all aspects of Royal Purple and Bel-Ray’s Industrial Division Mining Sales worldwide.  Key leadership position involves developing and implementing Sales structure, initiatives and performance standards for the territory and product lines specified above.  Manage all aspects of the mining business, including personnel (4), while building an effective Distributor network for meeting growth expectations.   



  • Manage all aspects of Calumet Branded Packaging’s Mining Division worldwide

  • Deliver year sales growth targets while maintaining existing customers according to specified branded product lines and markets

  • Hire, train and develop sales and technical positions within the Mining Department for the purpose of improving and furthering Mining’s contribution to Calumet’s bottom line

  • Conduct personnel evaluations for all sales and technical personnel within the Mining Department 

  • Face to face meetings with Distributor Partners

  • Work with Distributor Partners to develop successful succession plans

  • On-site meetings with existing customers, OEM’s and prospects, targeting key accounts/prospects

  • Effective presentation skills to maintenance personnel, engineering and plant management

  • Develop and lead key corporate initiatives within Calumet’s Industrial Mining Department

  • Assist in the discovery, selection and support of additional Mining Distribution worldwide

  • Ability to problem solve and provide recommendations for challenging mining applications



  • 5+ years sales experience and technical support experience

  • Previous Regional Manager experience or higher

  • Ability to work autonomously and reach sales objectives

  • Technical experience with industrial Mining lubricants and applications

  • Strong familiarity with all aspects of industrial Mining equipment

  • 50-70% road and air travel



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and sales CRM/database programs

  • Self-motivated and detailed-oriented

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to effectively work with individuals both inside and outside the company

  • Fosters positive work relationships and is a solid team player

  • Able to complete projects in a timely manner and get results

  • Supports the strategic and operational direction of the business
