Help save lives every day!  Bloodworks is hiring for a Digital Marketing Coordinator.  The incumbent will be working as part of the Marketing/Communications team, this role will support day-to-day operations of our digital marketing email strategy by owning, producing, and executing multiple email campaigns per week, connecting donors with donation opportunities across Bloodworks. Incumbent will successfully execute Donor Engagement Platform (DEP) email programs; tasks include creating email campaigns, building landing pages, sending campaigns, growing lists, employing tracking and reporting to drive continuous improvements and scalability of the system.


  • Populate, proof read and distribute daily emails with custom email builder tool. Check that drive information and links are correct, check for accuracy, communicate errors and sign off on final version.

  • Connect to Donor Engagement Platform (DEP) to pull lists of email recipients on a per-drive basis. Create email HTML from preexisting templates, with daily, weekly modifications. Test and preview emails to reduce errors.

  • Analyze email campaign results and recommend changes for future email campaigns.

  • Coordinate and communicate with fellow marketers and other team members to get necessary creative for email campaigns.

  • Source content via content management system and production team to populate creative

  • Facilitate proper review processes

  • Create landing pages

  • Complete other duties and projects as assigned


    Email Creation/Lead Generation  

  • Manage email campaigns including audience segmentation, coding, and deployment

  • Code within our current email templates while continuously making improvements to design

  • Produce both broadcast and triggered emails as assigned

  • Create content emails and carry out proper quality checks and review processes

  • Build new marketing landing pages for lead capture and conversion

  • Responsible for efforts to grow and maintain email lists

  • Comfortable with popular code editors

  • Understanding of dynamic content principles and using data to drive personalization

  • Experience using CMS such as Wordpress

  • Familiarity with databases


    Email Best Practice Management/Reporting    

  • Monitor email deliverability and address any potential issues

  • Research current trends and suggest improvements to elevate existing campaigns

  • Carryout A/B testing and reporting to continuously make improvements to the program

  • Track email performance and report on KPIs

  • Provide ad hoc reports on campaign/email activity as requested by key stakeholders

  • Knowledge of email regulations including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and CASL


    Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in one of the following disciplines: public relations, communications, marketing, advertising, graphic design, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Solid experience with email HTML, and troubleshooting Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) for email preferred

  • Conversant in Structured Query Language (SQL),able to understand command syntax and to alter preexisting statements for new list pulls

  • Solid experience working in Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Salesforce or similar, and Microsoft Office

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Curious, organized and very detail-oriented

  • Must have strong work ethic, problem solving and prioritization skills

  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team

  • Project management experience a plus


  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of multiple cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects/priorities to achieve defined goals.

  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with people of diverse age, personality, background and perspective in a diplomatic, professional manner regardless of situational stress or challenges.

  • Consistent and reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

  • Use of a company or personal vehicle for company business requires an acceptable driver’s record as defined by the vehicle policy.

  • Occasional work or presence outside of normal daily office hours.
