A national leader in transfusion medicine, Bloodworks has been chosen to serve more than 90 hospitals in Washington, Oregon and Alaska – partnering closely with local hospitals to deliver the highest level of patient care. Patients with traumatic injuries, undergoing surgeries or organ transplantation, or receiving treatment for cancer and blood disorders all depend on our services, expertise, laboratories and research. We are local, nonprofit, independent, volunteer-supported and community-based.

We have an excellent opportunity for a Strategic Partnerships Manager.  This position will lead Bloodworks strategic partnership efforts to maximize revenue generation and collaborations in the academic and pharmaceutical settings.  Driven by the mission of Bloodworks, the Strategic Partnerships Manager will require someone who has the highest level of confidence and engagement skills supported by strong commercial instinct and the capability to champion Bloodworks as an industry leader in blood health.  The ability to secure and deliver final contract negotiations to a favorable conclusion is a must.  This position is focused on establishing high level external relationships and will be networked ideally within the biologics industry, with a focus on bleeding disorders, hematology, and transfusion biology.  As the strategic partnership manager, you will be responsible for creating value from the organizational matrix of assets. 

 

Requirements for this position include an MBA, with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a scientific discipline. A PhD in a scientific discipline is preferred.7+ years of industry experience which includes at least five years of business development experience in one or more of the following sectors: Pharmaceutical/Biotech; Healthcare/Life Insurance; Laboratory Management; Education/Academic.
