The objective of this role is to help make MacLean Power Systems operations run efficiently. This individual should have the ability to work as a team, make decisions about the parts they are handling, and work closely with their supervisor to ensure the proper handling of parts. Being a friendly, self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills is necessary for this role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect castings carefully for cracks, cold runs, cold shuts, and other non-conformances
- Grind excess aluminum off castings based on the standard for each part
- Reject any obviously bad parts and throw them in a scrap container
- Keep records when directed
- Maintains area in an orderly condition
- Any other duties as assigned
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS or EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to work as a team
- Foundry experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively
