CNC OPERATOR 

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must be a team-player and actively support lean initiatives (continuous improvement) and The House of Excellence.

  • Ability to keep detailed daily records; have strong organizational skills; ability to learn quickly.

  • Must be able to read/follow production schedules, control plans, and work instructions

  • Work collectively/collaboratively with all members of organization

  • Responsible for operating assigned machines

  • Minor adjustments to machine as needed to produce good parts

  • Run and perform first part inspections and offsets accordingly to produce good parts per control plan and blue print

  • Troubleshooting problems with machines and/or tooling

  • Keep machine and area clean; report the need for repair and preventive maintenance on machinery

  • Must follow all safety requirements.

  • Proficient blue print reading skills

  • Working knowledge various gauging tools (including but not limited to Calipers, Indicators, plug gauges and micrometers)

 

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma required, manufacturing experience required.

  • Basic math skills and ability to successfully pass designated testing.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong mechanical ability is a must and working knowledge of hand and power tool 

  • To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform the essential functions of the job satisfactorily with/without accommodations. 

  • The physical demands required include the following: ability to stand/walk about on hard surfaces for most of shift; ability to frequently lift/push/pull objects up to 70lbs; the employee is frequently required to stand; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects; able to reach with hands and arms; able to safely operate several pieces of equipment.  The employee is required to walk, sit, climb stairs, occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear.  Specific vision abilities include: close/distance/ peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

  • Manufacturing environment that requires hearing protection, safety glasses, steel toed shoes and exposure to temperature fluctuations intensified by seasonal changes.
