Title: Production Supervisor
SUMMARY: Supervises plant hourly employees in a
manufacturing and assembly environment, plans and assigns work, implements
policies and procedures, and supports manufacturing processes through
continuous improvement, technical problem solving, and process design.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following – other duties may be

relations. Provides employee
coaching, training and development.
Resolves employee issues through collaborative problem resolution. Complies with the terms of local labor
- Identifies unsafe behaviors,
practices and conditions and coordinates corrective actions. Ensures that employees follow MF safety
- Coordinates shift support
teams for tooling, maintenance and material supply.
- Balances quality,
productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all
areas on the shift. Works to
continuously improve in all areas.
- Acts as first point of
contact for employee concerns and safety issues. Coordinates first aid and/or emergency
treatment for injured employees, and conducts accident
immediate and long-term corrective actions regarding safety issues.
- Leads the shift 5S program
and standards, and ensures compliance and continual improvement.
- Responsible for the
effective use of personnel, material and equipment; and meets production
schedules while maintaining quality requirements for our customers.
- Reinforces established
quality standards and IATF16949 (TS) program, and works with operators and
support personnel to continuously improve production methods.
- Completes shift reports
regarding productivity, quality, manpower allocations, shift activities

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
degree in manufacturing or mechanical engineering or a related technical field

with steel in a TS16949 Certified manufacturing environment, metal
specifications, tolerances and materials is required, with experience in a
Screw Machine or Centerless Grinding operation preferred.
