The objective of this role is to allow seamless business practices between MacLean Power Systems and internal and external customers. The candidate will be responsible for review of specifications, analyzing costs, pricing analysis, submitting quotes and fulfilling customer service needs. Candidates must be self-motivated team players with strong leadership, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Additionally, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Candidates will perform a variety of complicated tasks relying on experience and judgment to accomplish goals. Being friendly, self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills is necessary for this role.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills are mandatory.



  • Review customer submitted specifications and offer/develop cost effective insulator and transmission hardware solutions
  • Analyze customer needs and determine product capabilities and limitations in order to emphasize appropriate product features
  • Design insulators based on requirements.
  • Interpret competitor designs and offer MacLean alternatives
  • Develop cost estimates from similar existing insulator designs
  • Price product to maximize profit margins within established departmental guidelines
  • Analyze market conditions and craft proposals in order to maximize Company’s chance of successful order placement
  • Submit quotations in timely and professional manners
  • Interface with reps and end users; track shipments; resolve delivery issues
  • Handle customer complaints and the Customer Problem report process; work with production control to meet customer requirements
  • Coordinate all business transactions with customer from quotation to delivery

  • BA/BS Degree from accredited college/university; technical degree preferred
  • Customer Service background with manufacturer or technical sales
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with multiple projects simultaneously
  • Position combines technical knowledge with sales skills
  • Detail oriented
  • CAD experience a plus
