The objective of this role is to facilitate seamless business practices between MacLean Power Systems and internal and external customers. By providing thought leadership, process and technology recommendations, report development, implementation and on-going enhancements to processes, procedures, system changes.  This candidate will be responsible for a variety of complicated tasks, communicate with all levels of the organization, and rely on experience and judgment to accomplish goals. Candidates will have deep analytical, technical and organizational skills with the ability to manipulate marketing data, develop forecasting and demand planning models, sales plans, customer budget updates and other various forecast data.  Candidate will be adept at assembling data in support of business recommendations.  


  • Protect the financial performance of the business by identifying and communicating potential
     supply chain issues
  • Participate in the financial budgeting process
  • Advise sales, product management, and executive leadership of forecast accuracy, service level and inventory level performance
  • Conduct detailed analysis of actual demand versus forecast at the SKU level to identify areas of opportunity and development
  • Manage key control information related to demand planning such as safety stock levels, product lead times, product velocity, and associated planning model
  • Execute inventory strategies for existing items, new products, and product phase-outs
  • Assemble and analyze all data pertinent to creating the sales forecast (historical sales, market trends, seasonality, and inventory levels)
  • Design, build, and manage forecast and replenishment systems that guide the creation and management of purchase orders and supply chain replenishment orders
  • Develop and distribute reports to be used in inventory and forecasting meetings with Product Managers, reviewing recommended sales forecasts and inventory goals
  • Continuously refine the forecast model to reflect most current business assumptions based on
      changes in demand, market activities and market trends
  • Manage forecast exceptions and inordinate demand
  • Represent Demand and Inventory Planning in changes and system implementations


  • Bachelor’s Degree (MBA) and 4-10 years
      of relevant work experience
  • APICS (CPIM, CSCP) certification in
     demand planning, supply chain management
  • Experience with Six Sigma/Lean  
  • Project leadership and Project-management of cross functional teams 
  • Experience in selection and implementation of demand
      planning, demand forecasting, and supply chain management software
  • Experience with ERP systems (preferably JD Edwards)
  • Experience in leadership of project teams
  • The ability to build and/or work with a team
