Responsible for selling the organization’s products and services by calling prospective and established accounts. Maintains programs within account base by keeping customers informed about available services, supplies, prices, and new products. Meets established sales plans. Grows sales by assessing customer needs and selling appropriate products.


Key Result Areas (KRAs):

  1. Delivers Sales Plan

    • Make outbound calls to existing & prospective customer according to established metrics

    • Effectively manages accounts as measured by achieving sales plan, sales growth, product penetration, and customer feedback

  2. Customer Liaison – Maintain and increase assigned customer’s sales through product knowledge and introduction of new products.

  • Respond to all inquiries, resolve issues and introduce new products

  • Grow existing relationships

  • Familiarize with customer requirements

  • Maintain customer records

  1. Product Specialist

  • Attend training classes and make every effort to familiarize yourself with products

  • Call all customers, ascertain decision makers and engage in information exchange to determine their needs

  • Identify new opportunities

  • Mentor and assist new representatives.

  1. Call, Record, Track

  • Track sales activity and review with management

  • Provide all information to set up new accounts

  • Update customer files

  • Ability to consistently meet sales objectives

  • Initiate forty-five (45) calls daily, including thirty-five (35) Productive calls and striving for Fifteen  (15) orders of $150 or more

  • Results Oriented - Possesses current industry & job knowledge; is organized & efficient; demonstrates effective time management & multi-tasking skills; makes decisions in a timely manner.



High school diploma or equivalent plus related college courses; college degree preferred.



  • Customer Service or Sales Experience required.

  • Two (2) or more year’s prior inside sales experience preferred.

  • Working knowledge of merchandising systems a plus.

  • Experience with Microsoft products, such as Word and Excel is necessary. Able to learn and use in-house software applications.

  • Good work ethic & strong desire to succeed

  • Ability to close new accounts & develop long term relationships

  • Provide ongoing support to current clients

  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to network new clients

  • Strong customer service/phones skills are essential

  • High level of organizational skills.
