What we need…


Software Engineer to code advanced-level programs, maintain an in-depth knowledge of the application and become a subject matter expert in one or more areas of the application. This individual will design and program special requests, enhancements, conversions or defect repairs as directed by the Application Software Manager.

What you’ll do…

  • Review inputs, process and outputs
  • Code needed changes and/or corrections
  • Make library code changes as necessary
  • Unit test all code changes
  • Develop operator instructions where necessary
  • Design solutions to enhancements
  • Optimization of queries where appropriate
  • Device product functionality based upon customer/vendor and industry output
  • Create and write product function and/or design specifications
  • Participate in product planning and design meetings; reviews/creates proposed designs
  • Handle Customer Service questions concerning existing and/or new functionality
  • Prepare project status reports
  • Coordinate with other areas of the company, third party product vendors, and customers for documentation release and testing purposes

What you’ll bring…

  • Bachelors in Computer Science
  • Minimum three to five years’ Software programming experience in the financial services environment 
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret banking periodicals, professional/technical journals and procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management both orally and in writing
  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, equations and permutations to problems
  • Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as amortizations, schedules, frequency, distributions, internal rates of return, analyses of variance and correlation techniques
  • Knowledge of several high-level programming languages
  • Knowledge of OO concepts, Relational Database concepts, Database Management concepts, and Client/Server concepts
