COCC is actively searching for a Business Analyst to provide support to Financial Institutions and the Deposit Support team by being a point of contact for the customer for strategic initiatives, new products and services, development requests, guidance through projects and escalation of issues as well as providing training and guidance to department employees in a mentoring capacity.


The analyst will provide value to the customer and team by having knowledge about assigned institutions, being abreast of industry trends, understanding the regulatory environment, and being available to participate in meetings or client events. They will also be a strategic resource to the customer and team as well as being an advocate for the customer.


Other responsibilities include:


Provide training and guidance to department employees in a mentoring capacity. This covers one on one training time with employees as well as developing formal training documentation and procedures to increase employee’s ability and confidence in resolving client issues and questions.


  • Research and resolve outstanding client requests that require a high level of system knowledge and expertise

  • Participate in special projects related to a specific business area

  • Review and edit requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solutions

  • Act as a liaison between business units, technology and support teams

  • Quickly understand the business issues and data challenges of COCC client’s organization and industry

  • Identify client strengths and weaknesses and suggest areas of improvement


Client Support

  • Field calls and support needs from clients on an ongoing basis. Provide point of escalation for issues and work with internal departments and management for resolution. Work with assigned Relationship Managers, as special circumstances warrant, as a dedicated resource to the FI.


Meetings with Clients (Shadow Days)

  • Provide on-site support in the form of COCC “Shadow Days”, formal training, best practices, security review, product review and formal operational reviews. This would include but not be limited to client interviews, analysis of client processes and products and the creation of formal client training programs and documentation


Miscellaneous

  • Attend and participate in committee meetings, COCC User Meetings and COCC conferences

  • Contribute and assist the marketing department with outside sales efforts


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • 8-10 years’ experience in the banking or financial services industry

  • Strong technical skills coupled with business intelligence and understanding of customer's needs to transform them into application/operational requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management both verbally and in writing

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Intermediate level Microsoft Office Suite

  • Must be abreast on industry trends and have a solid understanding of the regulatory environment

  • Strategic and functional knowledge of all COCC products and services

  • INSIGHT system knowledge as well as COCC ancillary product knowledge preferred

  • SQL Knowledge preferred

  • Travel 30-40 % of the time, including both local same day automobile trips and multiple night air travel

  • Must have access to reliable transportation

  • Some weekend work required and some weeks require work over 40 hours
